Game Rules
The Admin has the right to delete and BANNED an account resulting from a major offense. Similarly, only Admin and GMs can issue punishments (BANNED, jail, kick or mute) for lesser or minor offenses.
The following contains the list of Rules applied within the Emerald-RO game. In cases where it is specifically mentioned, the following Game Rules are to be implemented and will remain effective in game under any circumstances. (Note: the “YOU” here refer to the active players of the server.)
1. Respect the Admin, Game Masters and their duly appointed officers.
2. Use of BOTs or similar programs such as macros & speed hacks, in other words CHEATING, is strictly prohibited.
3. Harassment, in any form, towards fellow player is not allowed.
4. Speak English in Main town/s, if you have a hard time speaking or you can’t speak in English, then, do it somewhere else or in less crowded area.
5. When a bug is found, report them immediately to any Admin/GMs online or in the Forum. Exploitation of an unreported bug will mean an account deletion/ban for the offender.
6. Do not complain about an item getting lost during a disconnection, as this happens only when there is a power outage in the server area or when there is a network failure. A player does not normally lose an item this way.
7. You shall not impersonate a GM. This means, do not say you are one and do not make a character name that has "GM" in it or these ASCII codes "•" and "™". Only standard alphanumeric codes are accepted.
8. You shall not impersonate any normal player. This means, do not take a similar name (separated by spaces) and pretend you are that player.
9. You shall not abuse the in game Announcer or Broadcaster. Do not broadcast useless message across the server or use it to flame or start a verbal fight with someone.
10. You shall not abuse the Wedding NPC. This is the NPC in the Prontera Church. Only use it when you really want to get married and your partner agrees.
11. Chat rooms, Vending shops or Pubs are not allowed along the street in Main town/s. If you want to vend or make a Chat room, then place them on the sidewalk or in designated areas.
12. No Skill Spamming, such as AoE (Area Of Effect) Skills in Main town/s or areas where such skills are prohibited.
13. You shall not contact a GM thru any of his “non-GM characters” for help, except for his character that start with GM. This rule means that YOU SHALL NOT CONTACT A GM TO ASK HIM “GM FAVOR/S.” GMs are not your servant, pet or slave. They have free wills and will not respond to anyone demanding anything.
14. It is strictly forbidden to beg a GM for anything. This includes asking for items or privileges that are not related to events, zeny, levels, skillpoints/resets, statpoints/resets, or even asking him to help you with leveling – e.g. tank, leech, and the like. Similarly, do not ask to be a GM, if the server needs one – announcement will be made in the Forum.
15. If you lost items because you were hacked, scammed, swiped, tricked or double-crossed, the Admin/GMs will not return nor refund any items lost due to carelessness. Unless, otherwise, the problem is server related and the Admin/GMs agreed among themselves to do a refund.
16. It is neither allowed to cast warp portals underneath characters that aren't yours (unless they asked for it) nor on any default Spawning Points. Exception to this is during WoE, where warp portals should be safely located away from non-participating players. Deliberate casting of warp portal faces severe punishment. (Victims should present SS for immediate action from the Admin/GMs.)
17. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR USER NAME OR YOUR PASSWORD (in other words, your account information) to anyone. Be it the Admin/GMs (Admin/GMs will never ask you for your account info), your classmates, co-workers, relatives or even your most “trusted” friends. Any items lost or swiped (exchanged for a lesser value) or characters deleted resulting and/or arising from SHARING of username and password, the server and its Admin/GMs will not be held liable for the losses.
18. Lastly, FOLLOW all the rules stated above to avoid any untoward incidents. Remember, in some cases, being IGNORANT may be excusable but, IGNORANCE of the law (rules in this case) is not an excuse.
